5. Assemble the Shelf
   Drill pilot holes on the wall where you will attach the shelf. Use a wood glue to keep the shelf in place and let it dry. After drying, screw the base board to the crown molding. Once the moldings are dry, you can start painting it with the color that will blend to the wall.
   
   
6. Install the Crown Molding Shelf
   Finally, your molding is now ready to be attached on the wall. The crown molding shelf is better when it sits close to the wall. You can hang it or directly attached it to your wall.
