Use shades, safety glasses or face shield. Also your eyes should be fixed on what you’re doing.

Position your saw properly.
Make a stable footing and balance your body. While cutting, hold the saw firmly with both hands so it won’t move or swerve. If you want to restart your powertool, turn it off and unplug it first.
